Yeah we are starting with American hard rock band Aerosmith and the song is called “Walk This Way”. This was the second single from their album “Toys in the Attic” in 1975. This track was at number 10 on the Bilboard Hot 100 in early 1977.
#9 – Rock You Like a Hurricane
And here it is “Rock You Like a Hurricane” by German heavy metal band Scorpions, one of my favorite. We used to cover this songs. This song and the riff is too much catchy and popular that every one like, sporting events, movie, tv shows, video games were using this track. This was the 2nd track of the album “Love at First Sting” in 1984. It was ranked 25th in USA Billboard Hot 100.

And now is “Photograph” by Def Leppard. This song was from their 1983 album “Pyromania”.
#7 – Still of the Night
How we can miss Whitesnake from the list, no way, here they are “Still of the Night” by Whitesnake. This song was also known by “In the still of the night”. It was released in 1987 and was its 4th single third track. This song was written by the lead signer David Coverdale and the guitarist John Sykes. Opening with a tight riff and powerful vocal this track remains one of their best classic hard rock song.

This is smokey time. “Smoke on the water” by Deep Purple. Any upcoming hard rock metal band can’t avoid this song from their track list. This song was release by British band Deep Purple in their album “Machine Head” in 1972. This song was ranked in Rolling Stone’s The 500 greatest songs of all time list, ranked number 4 in Total Guitar magazine’s Greatest Guitar Riffs Ever. This iconic riff is a four-note blues scale melody in G minor and harmonized in parallel fourths.

Back in Black by AC/DC is in number five. This song was released with the same name album in 1980. It always known as for its opening guitar riff. This song was tribute to Bon Scott who is the former singer of AC/DC.
#4 – Ain’t” Talkin’ ‘Bout Love
End of the waiting for Van Halen fans – “Ain’t” Talkin’ ‘Bout Love” has one of the greatest guitar riff ever. This song was recorded in 1977 and released in 1978 in Van Halen’s debut album.
#3 – Sweet Child o’ Mine
Now its time of top three. 3rd is “Sweet Child o’ Mine” by Guns N’ Roses. It was released in 1987 in American Hard Rock band Guns n’ Roses album “Appetite for Destruction”. It was topped in Billboard Hot 100 chart. Slash the lead guitarist of GnR told one of his interview that he was practicing finger exercise with his guitar but “within an hour my guitar exercise had become something else”. The riff roots as simply a string skipping exercise. This song and riff is one of the greatest all the time in Rock Band history.
#2 – Whole Lotta Love
“Whole Lotta Love” by Led Zeppelin is 2nd in our list. It was in their second album. The US release their first hit single and it was certified Gold on 13th April 1970 when it sold one billion copies. This song is in compound AABA form. In intro there is a loose blues riff, on a telecaster through a Vox Super Beatle which ascends into the first chorus.
#1 – Voodoo Child (Slight Return)
Here we go, the number one guitar riff is none other than “Voodoo Child (Slight Return) by Jimi Hendrix – this was the last track of the final album by The Jimi Hendrix Experience. It was known for wah-wah guitar work. This song was released in 1968 and re-released in 1970 after Jimi hendrix’s death.
