The Instatute members have come up with a two track single titled Lessons. If you are wondering whether to go ahead and give a dive into the songs, well let me tell you what – you will not regret it that for sure. Even though it is a two track single, the composition and the arrangement are what impresses me. Have said that; let us talk about the tracks themselves then.

The first track “Used to Say” has a soft melodic rock tone that feels soothing to listen to. Interpretations may vary from listener to listener. From my point-of-view, it shares the experiences of the struggle of emotions, of the struggle of the heart and the mind, and of coming down to one final conclusion. The music is very intoxicatingly beautiful, ideal for those who have a soft corner for rock musics.

The second track “Drums” has a comparatively heavier rock and roll tune. It is faster if you talk about the pace. From my perspective, the music characterizes a woman, and the use of the right rhythms is what helps the artists to shape up the imaginary character. Imaginary? I do not know, and let us leave that up to the listeners’ imagination, but the music is sassy, rough, and wild, things that go really well with the lyrics.

To conclude, the heavy bass lines, incorporated synth, and fast paced drum fills are all as expected.
