The consistently silky and resonant vocals of Attxla is what make you ecstatically nod your head up and down in endless agreement of his seemingly boundless range. Clocking in at just under half an hour, Attxla’s Ebb is plenty proof of the concise and hypnotic efforts that capture the hazy moments of slipping into sleep or sliding out of it. Lyrically he wrestles with themes of self-reflection, self-actualization, and unrequited love. And by the time you reach the end of the song, the entire piece of song would exactly seem like a dream.

Out of all of Ebb’s trance-like tracks, no other song blends all of Attxla’s influences more than album highlight “Like I Do”. This features local rapper Kenner Wells.

The material is rooted in approaches and sounds of the late ’80s Synthwave, but the album is still fresh, never verging on replication. Attxla outdoes himself here, sometimes a little too in tune with his own creativity. Some of the songs like “Feel It” and “Anneal” are so direct that they’re expressed with soul-stirring, serve-the-song with conviction mentality. He’s in the top tier when it comes to pure skill, moreover, the songs are of undeniably high quality, filled with passion, temptation, and devotion.
